Create a crop plan template
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist
- Click on the Advice
icon and click on the Plan templates tab.
- NOTE: if you're building a crop plan template for the first time, you can also go to this page by clicking on the Fields icon, going to the Planning tab, then clicking on the Navigate button.
- Click the blue Add
button at the bottom of the screen to start building your template.
- Complete the following steps to start setting up your template:
- Name your template.
- Use the Crop dropdown to associate your template with one of your crops and/or crop varieties.
- Enter the Yield goal you have for this plan in bu/ac.
- Use the Organization dropdown to associate this template with a level of your organization you want to associate this template with. If you want to access this template across your entire organization, then select the highest level or your organization.
- Click the Add step dropdown to start adding steps to your mix. Select one of the following options:

From mix: select one of your pre-existing product mixes to add as a step.

Blank step: add in chemical products to your step.

- If you're creating a plan step from a mix, complete the following steps to setup this plan step (pictured below):
- Click on the mix you want use to create your plan step.
- Click the Select button at the bottom of the window.
- If you're creating a blank plant step, add in the following information to create this step (pictured below).
- The Title of your step (i.e. Burndown, Post-Emergence Pesticide, etc.).
- Use the
Add products button to add any number of products to your step.
- Click the Edit
button to set an application rate for your product(s).
- Set the Water volume (gal/ac) for your product(s) in this step if applicable.
- Use the Application period dropdown to set the general timeframe
- When you're done, click the Save
button at the top of the screen to save your crop plan template.
Apply a crop plan to one of your organizations
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist
- Click on the Fields
icon, then click on the Planning tab.
- Click the
Create button at the top of the screen to start creating your organization plan (pictured below).
- Fill out the following information in the Create organization plan window (pictured below):
- Give your plan a Name.
- Use the Organization dropdown to choose a level of your organization to associate this plan with. If you want to apply it to your entire organization, select the highest level of your organization.
- Use the Growing season dropdown to select a growing season to apply your plan to.
- When you've entered this information, click the Create button.
- Once your plan has been created, check the box above the left-most row of your plan grid.
- Hover your cursor over the Template you want to apply to your plan, then click the Apply
button (pictured below).
- Click the
Commit plan button next to the plan dropdown menu (pictured below).
- In the Commit window, review the changes to your fields that committing your crop plan will cause. The changes to review include:
- New fields that will be created.
- Existing fields that will be changed.
- Plans changing from Active to Draft.
Accessing information in your crop plans
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Grower
- Click on the Fields
icon, then click on the Planning tab.
- Use the Plan dropdown menu in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to select the plan that you want to work in.
- Click the Products button above the field list (pictured below).
- Access the following information in the Products table (pictured below).
- The Total quantity and Unit of product that will be applied in your crop plan.
- The Price and Price unit for each of your products.
- The Total cost per product.
- The Total price of your entire plan.
- You'll also be able see a break down of how much the seed that will be applied in this crop plan will cost by clicking on the Crops page. You can find the Crops page button next to the Products page button.
- You'll be able to access the following information on the Crops page (pictured below):
- The Total quantity and units of each crop seed product.
- The Price quantity and units of each crop seed products.
- The Total cost it will take to plan all the crop seed product laid out in your crop plan.
Edit the cost of products in a plan
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Grower
- Click on the Fields
icon, then click on the Planning tab.
- Use the plan dropdown menu to select the plan that you want to edit.
- Click on the Products tab, click on the product that you want to edit, then click on the Edit
icon above the product table (pictured below).
- Set the Price quantity and Price unit for this product in each respective column. For the product in the example below, we set the price quantity at '10' and the price unit in 'per acre'.
- Click the Update
icon to save your changes.
Edit an acreage for a field's plan
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Grower
- Click on the Fields
icon, then click on the Planning tab.
- Use the plan dropdown menu to select the plan that you want to edit.
- Locate the field you want to edit in plan list and click the Expand
button to the left of said plan.
- Click the Edit
button next to the acreage to set the acreage for the plan for that field (pictured below).
- Set the acreage you want to apply this step of the plan to then click the Apply
button (pictured below).
- Once you've reset a field's acreage, you can reset that to the original field acreage by clicking on the Undo
button next to the field acreage amount (pictured below).
Create a recommendation from a plan
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist
- In the Home
tab, locate and click on the field you want to create a recommendation for.
- In the slide-out map pane, click on the Plan Progress
header, then click the
Show more button to access the crop plan for that field.
- Click on the New recommendation
button. You'll then be able to create your recommendation like you normally would.
- This functionality is also available from the Fields
tab. Click on the Fields
icon, then in the Fields tab scroll over to and click on the desired crop plan template in the Plan column. You'll be able to click on that plan and access the New recommendation
button from there.
Create a task from a plan
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist
- In the Home
page, locate and click on the field you want to create a task for.
- In the slide-out map pane, click on the Plan Progress
header, then click the
Show more button to access the crop plan for that field.
- Find the step you want to make a task for and click on the
New task button. This will be under the link to the recommendation that has already been written for this step.
- Clicking the
New task button will open the Create tasks window and allows to you create a task like you normally would.
- This functionality is also available from the Fields
tab. Click on the Fields
icon, then in the Fields tab scroll over to and click on the desired crop plan template in the Plan column. You'll be able to click on the plan you want to edit and create a task from crop plan pop-up.
Skipping a step in a crop plan
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Grower
- In the Home
page, locate and click on the field you want to skip a step in your crop plan for.
- In the slide-out map pane, click on the Plan Progress
header, then click the
Show more button to access the crop plan for that field.
- Click the Skip
button to the right of the step of your plan that you want to skip. The Skip
icon will then appear to the left of the plan of your step that you're skipping.

NOTE: steps to a plan can be reimplemented by clicking the Unskip
button.

- This functionality is also available from the Fields
tab. Click on the Fields
icon, then in the Fields tab scroll over to and click on the desired crop plan template in the Plan column. You'll be able to skip a step in your crop plan from the crop plan pop-up.
Export your plan
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Grower
- Click on the Fields
icon, then click on the Planning tab.
- In the Planning list, click on the plan that you want to export a plan for.
- Click the
Export plan button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and select whether you want to export your plan to an Excel or PDF file.

PDF options:
- Show field shape: the outline of each field will be displayed next to it's associated plan.
- Show prices: price per area, price per unit, and total product cost information will be included with your exported crop plans.
- Include all field plans: in addition to showing a summary of the products applied in the crop plans you've exported, each crop plan will be displayed as well.

Excel:
- Check the Show prices box to choose whether or not you want to include a price per area, price per unit, and total cost columns for your crop plan export.
Accessing your crop plans from the mobile app
Available from the: Mobile App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist
- In the Fields
tab, select the field you want to view a crop field plan for.
- Click on the field detail pane at the bottom of the screen to view the details about that field's crop plan (pictured below).

From this pane, you'll be able to do the following:
- View recommendation: download a PDF of a completed recommendation that is associated with that step in the crop plan.
- New recommendation: create a recommendation based off of an associated step of a crop plan.
- New task: once a recommendation has been created for a step, users will be able to create a task associated with the recommendation linked to that task.
Editing a crop plan that has been committed to a field
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist
- Locate the field you want to adjust your plan for in either the Home or Fields tab.
- After locating the field, access your field plan and click the Options
button next to the step of the plan you want to edit (pictured below).
- In the Options window, select the Edit
button (pictured below).

You can perform the following edit options in the Edit details page (pictured below):
- Edit the rate and units for any of the products currently associated with that step of the plan.
- Add products to that step of the plan.
- Set or edit the Water volume for that step of the plan.
- When you've made your edits, click the Update button to save your changes.
