Automatically Create a Spray Record
Spray records will be created automatically when you complete a recommendation. These spray records can be accessed by going to the Advice tab and clicking on it there. Spray records created in this way will have a linked recommendation icon shown next to them. Additionally users can click the recommendation in the Recommendations tab and can access the spray record in the Spray records pane. Spray records can also be accessed in the Field Journal. By using the Event dropdown you can select for only spray events and spray records to be populated in your field journal.
Create an applicator
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator
- Click on the Advice
icon, then click on the Applicators tab.
- Click on the blue Add
button at the bottom of the screen to begin adding your applicator.

Put in the following information in the Add new applicator page (pictured below):
- Input the Name of your applicator.
- Put in the License number for your applicator.
- Put in the License authority for your applicator.
- Use the User account dropdown menu to associate the applicator with an existing user in your FarmQA account.
- Apply Organization permissions to your applicator. This will allow for spray records to be created and associated with this applicator in those levels of your FarmQA account.
- Click the Save button to finish setting up your new applicator.
Manually Create a Spray Record
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Grower, Standard, Crop Scout, Driver
- Click on the Advice
page, then click on the Spray records tab.
- Click on the gray Add
button at the top of the screen (pictured below).
- Use the View list or View map tabs to select the field you want to create spray records for.

Enter the following information for your field in the Spray details page (pictured below).
- If creating a record for a spot spray, toggle on the Entire field option and enter the number of acres the spray record applies to.
- Use the calendar to select the Started and Completed times for your application.
- Either Add products or Select a mix to show the products that were applied with this application.
- Input the Water volume in gal/ac.
- Select the Application method by using the associated dropdown menu.

Input notes as necessary.
- Products added to spray records can also be edited to include lot numbers. To do so, click on the product then enter the information in the Lot number box (pictured below).
- Click the Save button when you're done working on your spray record.
- Your spray records will now populate on the Spray records page.
Create spray records for multiple fields at the same time
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Grower, Standard, Crop Scout, Driver
- Click on the Advice
icon then click on the Spray records tab.
- Click on the gray Add
button at the top of the screen (pictured below).
- Use the View list or View map tabs to select the field you want to create spray records for by checking the boxes next to each field.
- Input the following information to the Spray details page:
- Select to use either the Entire field or Partial field acreage.
- Use the calendars to input the Started and Completed start and end times and dates.
- Input the Products used in your recommendation(s).
- Set the Water volume in gal/ac.
- Use the dropdown to select the Applicator.
- Set the Application method.
- Input any Notes as needed.
- If the information you put in for your first spray record applies to the other fields you have selected, click the Apply to all
button in the lower left-hand corner of the window.
- Click the Save button in the lower right-hand corner of the window to save your spray records.
Access REI and PHI information for your fields from the FarmQA web app
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: All Users
- FarmQA will populate Pre-harvest and Reentry columns in the Fields
tab. This information will be updated based on spray records that are completed for your fields (pictured below).
- REI and PHI data for your fields can also be accessed from the Home
page. Click on one of your fields and any available REI and PHI warnings will be displayed at the top of the field information pane (pictured below).
- REI data is also displayed when creating tasks. REI data will be shown at the top of Create tasks window to let users know when they can enter fields to complete tasks (pictured below).
Access REI and PHI information for your fields from the FarmQA mobile app
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: All Users
- In the FarmQA mobile app, click on a field that recently had a spray record filled out for it.
- The safe re-entry date and earliest harvest date for that field, which is calculated from the product information in your spray records, are shown in the drawer at the bottom of the screen (pictured below).
- You can also access this information by clicking on the Information
icon next to the field name at the top of the screen (pictured below).
Delete an applicator
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator
- Click on the Advice
icon, then click on the Applicators tab.

Click on the applicator you want to delete, then click on the red Delete icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen (pictured below).
- NOTE: Deleting an applicator will just remove that user's applicator permission and will not delete the user themself.
Editing a spray record
Available from the: Mobile App and Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Grower

Click on the Advice
icon, then click on the Spray records tab.
- Click on the spray record you want to edit, then click on the Edit
icon at the top of the screen (pictured below).

Make the following edits to your spray record (pictured below).
- Input whether your spray record is for your Entire field or a Partial field.
- Edit the Started and Completed dates and times for your spray record.
- Delete Products or edit Product rates.
- Add products to the spray record.
- Edit the Water volume.
- Use the Application method dropdown to change the application method.
- Set the Wind speed at the time of the spray record.
- Edit the Preharvest interval.
- Edit the Rainfast time in hours.
- Edit the Re-entry interval in hours.
- Add or edit the Notes associated with the spray record.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save the edits made to your spray record.
FarmQA mobile app
- Click on the Advice
icon, then make sure you're in the SPRAY RECORDS tab.
- Locate the spray record you want to edit, then swipe that spray record to the left side of the screen (pictured below).
- Click on the green Edit button next to the spray record you want to edit. These edits are the same as can be made in the web app.
- Once you've finished your spray record edits, click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
Exporting spray records from the Spray records tab
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: All Users
- Click on the Advice
icon then click on the Spray records tab.
- Select the spray record(s) you want to export by checking the box to the left of each record.
- Click on the Export
icon above the spray records table and select whether to export as a PDF or Excel file.
- Use the dropdown arrow to select the styling options for your PDF export (pictured below).

Click the Download
button to download your spray records. Your exported spray records will include the following information:
- Name and certification number of your applicator.
- Date of application.
- Name and EPA regulation number of the product that was applied.
- Total area the product was applied to.
- Rate and total amount of each product applied.
- Field name and name of the crop planted on that field.
Download spray records from the field journal
Available from the: Web App
User Permissions: All Users
- Click on the field you want to download spray records from in the Map
tab.
- Click on the Events button in the slide-out map pane to access the field journal (pictured below).
- Use the Event dropdown to filter out all events that aren't Sprayed
events (pictured below).
- Click the Download
button to export your spray record(s) to a PDF file. Your spray record will look like the example below. Note that the date of application and the applicator will be displayed above the recommendation information (pictured below).
Delete a Spray Record
Available from the: Mobile App and Web App
User Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Grower
FarmQA mobile app
- Click on the Advice
icon, then make sure that you're in the SPRAY RECORDS tab.
- Locate the spray record you want to delete, then swipe that spray record to the left side of the screen (pictured below).
- Click on the red Delete button next to the spray record, then click on the Delete button at the bottom of the screen (pictured below).
FarmQA web app
- Click on the Advice
icon, then click on the Spray records tab.
- Click on the spray record you want to delete, then click on the Delete
icon (pictured below).
- In the Delete spray record window, click the Delete button to complete the process of deleting your spray record.
