Getting fields to show up in the FarmQA mobile app

If you've just logged into your FarmQA mobile app and none of your fields are showing up, your fields are most likely not showing up because there aren't any crops assigned to your fields. FarmQA will only show fields in the FarmQA mobile app if there are crops assigned to those fields in the current active growing season. Create an 'Unknown' placeholder crop

Permissions: ENTERPRISE ADMINISTRATOR, AGRONOMIST

If you don't know what the fields you're scouting are planted to, you can create a placeholder crop to assign to your fields so they show up in the mobile app. The instructions below will walk you through how to setup an 'Unknown' placeholder crop. 

• Click on the Settings  page, then click on the Crops/varieties tab. 
• Click on the Add a crop button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen (pictured below). 

• Enter the following information in the Add a new crop window (pictured below):
  1. Enter the Name of the crop as 'Unknown'.
  2. Use the Master crop dropdown to set the Master crop to 'Other'.
  3. Set the Crop color to whatever you like.
  4. Assign a Scouting template to this crop. We recommend using a general template as you won't be scouting these fields. 

• When you're done, click on the Add crop button in the bottom right-hand corner of the window to save your 'Unknown' crop.

• Click on the Fields  icon.
• In the Fields tab, check on the box in the upper right-hand corner of the field list table (pictured below). 

• After you've selected all of your fields, click on the Assign a crop button above the field list table (pictured below). 

• In the Assign crop window, use the Assign crop to fields dropdown to select the 'Unknown' crop. 
• Click on the Assign button to assign this crop to all of your fields (pictured below). 

Sync up your FarmQA mobile app to bring your fields over

Permissions: ALL USERS

• Go to the Settings page, then click on the Sync now button (pictured below).

• Wait until the arrows in the Sync now button stop spinning. Once they have stopped spinning, then your app will be synced up and your fields should be properly loaded in the Fields page.
