By default, fields within your FarmQA account are colored by crop or variety. However, they can also be colored by farm by following the instructions below.
Instructions
- Log in to your FarmQA account from the web app.
- Navigate to the Settings page, then click on the Organization tab.
- Click on the farm you want to edit colors for, then select the Use custom color option (pictured below).
- There are two color options:
- Use parent color
- It is recommended to use this if an enterprise has three or more levels. For example: 1) Enterprise, 2) Agronomist, then 3) Farms. In this example the Farms could be given the color of their "parent", or agronomist, and the agronomist level would get a custom color. The end result would be a view of fields grouped by agronomist.
- Use custom color
- It is recommended to use this for any unit directly under the root. For example: 1) Enterprise, then 2) Farms. In this case each farm would get a custom color and the end result would be a view of fields by farm.
- Use parent color
- To set a custom color for a farm, select Use custom color then click on the desired color from the displayed pallet (pictured below).
- NOTE: you have to first click on the box to get the pallet to display.
- Clicking out of the coloring tool will save your color changes.
Using the color options
- On the Map tab, click on the map slide out pane.
- Select the Color by farm option under the FIELD COLOR header.
- After selecting an option the map will update.
- NOTE: The legend will also change to reflect acreage totals by category (see below)
