Soil sampling tasks require the Tasks add-on. See Tasks — FarmQA to learn more.
When your lab is connected to FarmQA, completing a soil sampling task automatically submits it to your lab. When the analysis is done, your results import on their own and appear on the field — no CSV, no import profile, no upload step.
You set the lab up once, and every task routed to that lab flows through automatically.
Before you start
This works only with labs that have onboarded with FarmQA. If you're not sure whether your lab is onboarded, contact your lab or the FarmQA support team at support@farmqa.com.
If your lab hasn't onboarded yet, you can still get results in manually. See Upload soil test result files to your account and Create a soil sample import profile.
How it works
- You complete a soil sampling task in the field.
- FarmQA submits the sample data to your configured lab.
- The lab runs the analysis.
- FarmQA imports the results and matches them to the sample locations defined in the task.
- Results appear on the field, ready to view and use.
Steps 2 and 4 happen automatically. You don't trigger them.
Turn on automatic submission
Permissions: Enterprise Administrator
Automatic submission is configured on the lab. See Add a soil lab to your account for setup, including the email address requirement.
If automatic submission fails
If a submission or import doesn't go through, you can complete the step manually:
Future tasks resume submitting automatically once the issue clears.
