Chemical compliance checking and harvest review are available to selected accounts. If you don't see these features, contact your FarmQA representative.
Submit a field for harvest review
When your season records are complete, you submit your fields to your field representative for review. Submitting a field is your attestation that the records are accurate and ready to be checked. Once you submit, your records are locked — your field rep reviews them and either approves the field for harvest, sends it back for corrections, or marks it as not harvestable.
You can submit one field at a time or submit multiple fields at once.
Before you begin
Make sure all your application records, irrigation records, and other season activities are entered. Required fields on application records — applicator license number, weather information, and temperature at time of application — must be complete before submission is possible.
Run a compliance check before submitting
The Submit for review action is blocked if no compliance check has been run on the field in the current season. To unblock it:
- Run a compliance check on the field. See Run a compliance check on a field.
- Once the check has completed — regardless of the result — the submit action becomes available.
If your field is non-compliant, you can still submit it. Your field rep will see the compliance result when they review. The block is on the absence of a check, not a failing result.
Submit a field
- Open the Fields list and locate the field you want to submit.
- Select the field to open it, then select Submit for review.
- Review the confirmation prompt. Select Confirm to complete the submission.
The field's status changes to Submitted. Your records are now locked — you can still view them, but you can't edit application records, irrigation records, or other in-season data until your field rep sends the field back to you or you contact them to reopen it.
Submit multiple fields at once
- In the Fields list, select the checkboxes for each field you want to submit.
- Select Submit for review from the bulk action menu.
- Review the confirmation prompt. Select Confirm to submit all selected fields.
Each field's status updates to Submitted once the action completes.
After you submit
You can't reopen a submitted field yourself. If you need to make a correction after submitting, contact your field rep and ask them to send the field back to you.
Your field rep may:
- Approve the field — records stay locked; the field is harvest-ready.
- Return the field — your records are unlocked so you can make corrections and resubmit.
- Mark as not harvestable — the field has been flagged as ineligible for harvest, typically due to a compliance issue that can't be resolved.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Can I undo a submission?
A: No. Once you submit a field, only your field rep can reopen it. Contact them directly if you need to make a correction.
Q: What if I haven't finished entering all my records?
A: Submit only when your records are complete. Once submitted, you can't add or edit in-season records until the field is returned to you.
Q: What does "locked" mean for my records?
A: You can still view all records on a locked field. You just can't edit or add application records, irrigation records, or other season activities.
