Collect soil samples using a task

Soil sampling tasks require the Tasks add-on. See Tasks — FarmQA to learn more.

Permissions: Enterprise Administrator, Agronomist, Technician+, Technician, Soil Sampler, Operator

If your organization collects samples without tasks, see Collect soil samples instead.

Before you start, make sure your task has been created and assigned to you. See Create a soil sampling task.

1. Select the Work icon, then select the task you need to complete.
2. On the task page, select the blue arrow in the lower-right corner to open the sample points.
3. Select the point you're sampling. FarmQA opens the camera to scan the barcode on your sample bag. To type it instead, select Enter barcode. Select OK when done.

4. When you've sampled every point, select the back arrow in the upper-left corner.
5. On the task page, select the green Submit button, then select Save to complete the task.
