Adding a formula
Available from the: WEB APP
Permissions: ENTERPRISE ADMINISTRATOR
- Click on the Fields page, then click on the Formula tab.
- Click the New Formula button to begin writing your formula (pictured below).
- Add in the following information for your formula (pictured below):
- Give your formula a Name.
- Add a Description for your formula. This is a great way to guide users on how to use this formula.
- Use the Output type dropdown to pick what the output of your formula will be formatted as. Pick from the following output types:
- Nutrient rate
- Product rate
- Seeding rate
- Unspecified
- Use the Nutrient dropdown to set the nutrient output for this formula
- Click the
Add button under NUMERIC VARIABLES to define variables you'll use in your formula. For example, you can set variables for maximum and minimum values used in your formula. For each variable, set the Name and Value for each of those variables.
- Click the
Add button under the SOIL NUTRIENT VARIALBES header to add soil nutrient variables to your formula. Set the Name of the formula, use the Soil variable dropdown to pick the soil variable, and use the Rate dropdown to pick the rate associated with this variable.
- Write the Expression for your formula. If you're having a hard time writing a formula, please contact the FarmQA Support team for assistance.
- When you're done, click on the Save button to save your formula.
