Build a map book once, then print it for any set of fields: management zones, soil results, and nutrient maps for each field, in the order you choose, in one PDF. Map books can also include the lab results behind each soil nutrient map, so your grower gets the map and the numbers together.

Create a map book configuration
A configuration saves which fields and maps go into the map book, so you can print it again later.
- Select Reports, then select Create.
- In Select fields, check each field you want in the map book, then select Update.
- In Create configuration, on the Fields tab, choose the maps for each field. To apply the same maps to every field, select All fields, then check the maps you want under Management zones, Soil results, and Nutrients to apply.
- On the Display tab, drag the maps into the order you want them printed.
- On the Settings tab, choose the header and map type.
- Select Save to keep the configuration, or Generate to print it now.
When you choose maps with All fields, soil result selections apply only to each field's most recent soil results. If a crop filter is on, selections apply only to the filtered fields.
Generate a map book
- Select Reports, then select a configuration on the Configurations tab.
- Select Generate.
- Choose how much detail to print:
- Point data: Location shows where each sample was taken. Location and value adds its value.
- Layer data: Details, Summary, or Details and summary. Choose Details or Details and summary to include sampling results.
- Label data: Label only or Label and value.
- Confirm to start the map book.
The map book builds in the background. Its status shows in the Reports list as Queued, Generating, then Ready.
Sampling results in a map book
With Layer data set to Details or Details and summary, each soil nutrient map in the map book comes with its results:
- Each row uses the same label shown for that sampling point or zone on the map, so your grower can find a spot on the map and read its numbers.
- Every analyte in the soil nutrient map is listed, with its unit where the lab reports one, even if you didn't include that analyte's own nutrient map.
- Results at different depths are in separate tables, each labeled with its depth.
- Point-based results end with an average across the points. Averages don't mix depths.
Individual nutrient maps and product maps already carry their own tables, and those don't change.
Download a map book
- Select Reports, then select the configuration on the Configurations tab.
- Under Reports, select Download next to the map book you want.
Edit a configuration
- Select Reports, then select the configuration on the Configurations tab.
- Select Edit.
- Make your changes in Edit configuration, then select Save.
