FarmQA makes it easy to bring in your field boundaries from another program like FieldX or Climate Fieldview by allowing users to upload their pre-existing field boundaries to your account. Export your field boundaries in bulk to a shapefile format and the FarmQA support team will be able to help you upload your files to your account.

What types of shapefiles can be uploaded to FarmQA?
Your field boundaries need to be in a shapefile format for them to be uploaded to your FarmQA account. The following file formats can be used to upload your fields to your account:
- .KML
- .KMZ
- ESRI shapefile, which includes a .SHP, .SHX, .DBF, and a .PRJ file shared in a zipped folder.
Upload single field boundaries
Available form the: WEB APP
Permissions: ENTERPRISE ADMIN, AGRONOMIST, TECHNICIAN+
- In the Home page, click on the Create fields button in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
- Drag and drop the zipped folder containing your shapefile into the Create fields pane on the left hand side of the screen (pictured below).
- An outline of your field will be shown on the main map for you to preview.
- Click on the Save button at the bottom of the Create fields window to finish uploading your field to your account.

The FarmQA Support team has access to a bulk upload tool that can easily upload your field boundaries and their associated Grower > Farm > Field trees. Please email a copy of your fields in one of the file formats listed above to the following email address:
