FarmQA can be used as a data repository attaching files with associated fields. Attach PDF's, Excel files, Drone footage, or whatever file you desire to keep a record of what's happening in your fields. Follow the instructions below to learn how to add files to your fields in FarmQA.
File attachment requirements
- Files of any type can be attached to a field.
- Each individual file should not exceed 25mb in size.
- Multiple files can be attached to a field, but only one file can be added to a field at a time.
- File attachments are growing season specific, so pay attention to what growing season you have selected in the top right-hand corner of the screen when you attach a file.
Attach a file to a field from the Home page
Available from the: WEB APP
Permissions: ENTERPRISE ADMINISTRATOR, AGRONOMIST, GROWER, STANDARD, CROP SCOUT
- Click on the field you want to add an attachment to in the Home
page.
- Click on the Attachments button in the slide-out map pane (pictured below).
- Drag and drop the file you want to attach to your field in the Attachments window. Your file will then be saved to your field (pictured below).
Attach a file to a field from the Fields page
Available from the: WEB APP
Permissions: ENTERPRISE ADMINISTRATOR, AGRONOMIST, GROWER, STANDARD, CROP SCOUT
- Click on the Fields
icon, then locate the field you want to attach a file too.
- Select the Paperclip
icon on the right-hand side of the row (pictured below).
- Drag and drop the file you want to attach to your field in the Attachments window. Your file will then be saved to your field (pictured below).
Viewing file attachments from the mobile app
Available from the: MOBILE APP
Permissions: ENTERPRISE ADMINISTRATOR, AGRONOMIST, GROWER, STANDARD, CROP SCOUT
- In the Fields
page, click on the you want to view the attachment for.
- Click on Attachments, then click on the attachment you want to view in the Attachments window (pictured below).
- FarmQA does not have a built-in file viewer, so the file attachment will be downloaded from the FarmQA mobile app and displayed in your device's native file viewer.
