Manage recommendations

Tell a grower or applicator exactly what to apply to a field, at what rate, and when. Write the recommendation on the web or in the mobile app, choose a saved mix or individual products, and submit it so your team can see it. You can edit or delete it later.

Before you start: add the products you'll recommend. See Adding products to your account. Saved mixes are optional but save time: see Creating chemical mixes.

Write a recommendation

On the web:

1. Select Advice, then select the Recommendations tab.
2. Select New recommendation.
3. In Choose fields, select the fields the recommendation covers. Fields must all be in the same organization. 
4. Add what to apply: select Choose mix to start from a saved mix, or Add products to pick products one by one. Adjust rates and product notes as needed.
5. Set the timing: Start, Finish by, and Priority.
6. Add Instructions or Notes for the applicator. To set a different area or instructions for one field, use Customize field details.

7. Select Save.

   

In the FarmQA mobile app:

1. Start from the field list, the Add button on the map, or the Add button on the Advice tab.
2. Select Create a recommendation. The field you started from is already added; add others if the recommendation covers them too.
3. Add a mix or products, adjust rates, then select Done.
4. Set the timing and priority, and add notes.
5. Select Submit to send it to your team, or Save draft to finish it later.

Edit a recommendation

1. Select Advice, then select the Recommendations tab.
2. Find the recommendation. Sort, filter, or search the list if it's long.
3. Select the recommendation, then select Edit.
4. Make your changes, then select Save.

If the recommendation has been published to QA Farmer by FarmQA, publish it again so the grower sees your changes. Fields that already have application records from this recommendation can't be removed from it.

Delete a recommendation

On the web:

1. Select Advice, then select the Recommendations tab.
2. Select the recommendation, then select Delete.
3. Select Delete to confirm.

In the FarmQA mobile app:

1. Select Advice, then select the Recommendations tab.
2. Swipe the recommendation to the left, then select Delete.
3. Select Delete to confirm.

When the work is done

Record what was applied by creating application records from the recommendation. See Manage application records.
