Every person in your FarmQA account has a role, and each role uses a license. The role decides what someone can do. The license is the seat that role takes from your account's total. This article lists the roles and their licenses, and shows how to check how many licenses you have left and how to get more.

Roles and the licenses they use
You choose a role for each person when you add them or give them access to an organization. The Role dropdown shows each role's license type in parentheses.

How Agronomist differs from Enterprise Administrator
Agronomist is the full-control role for someone who works inside part of your operation. An Agronomist has the same access as an Enterprise Administrator, except:
- An Agronomist can't add users or change user permissions.
- An Agronomist can't set up or assign satellite imagery subscriptions.
- An Agronomist can view applicators, soil sample depths, and soil settings but can't change them.
Give Enterprise Administrator only to the people who run the account.
Where a role applies
A role applies to the organization you assign it on. When you check Apply permission to all levels below, it also applies to every farm and field under that organization. You can give the same person access to more than one organization. For example, an Agronomist can have full control of one location and no access to the others.
Permission levels
When you select a person on an organization's Security tab, the Permission summary lists each area of FarmQA with a level:

Workflow licenses
A Workflow license lets a person use Tasks: creating tasks, assigning them, and working the tasks assigned to them. Workflow licenses come with your account's Tasks add-on, and they're counted separately from role licenses. You turn one on for a person in addition to their role. See Manage users [LINK-2].
Check how many licenses you have
- Select Settings, then the Organization tab.
- Select your top-level organization, then the Security tab.
The counters at the top show how many of each license type you've used, for example 3 of 6 Pro. The Users tab also shows how many Workflow licenses you've used.
When every license of a type is in use, roles that need that license are unavailable in the Role dropdown until you free one up or add more.
