Before you start creating tasks for your users, you'll have to add task types to your account. Task types are categories that your tasks are sorted into. Tasks can only be added from certain pages in FarmQA based on the task type you're trying to add. Where to add tasks of each task category
Creating task types
Available from the: WEB APP
Permissions: ENTERPRISE ADMIN, AGRONOMIST
- Click on the Work
icon, then go to the Task Types tab.
- Click the blue Add
button at the bottom of the screen to add a new task type (pictured below).

Complete the following steps to setup your new task type (pictured below):
- Give your new task type a Name.
- Use the Select task category dropdown menu to pick the type for your task. This should roughly match your task's name.
- Use the Icon dropdown menu to select an icon to represent your task with.
- Edit how your fields are Colored when you're coloring your fields by task status.
- Click the Save
icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen to save your new task type.
- Repeat this process until you've added a task of each main category to your account (pictured below).
Where to add tasks of each task category
Tasks that are in certain categories can only be added from certain pages in FarmQA. Refer to the list below to find out where you need to be working at in FarmQA to add certain task types.
