FarmQA's AgVise Laboratories integration allows you to automatically bring your soil test from the AgVise web portal to your FarmQA account. Soil samples that you have collected using FarmQA's barcode scanner will be geolocated so you can easily access your spatially distributed soils data. Follow the instructions below to learn how to setup your AgVise integration to get your data into FarmQA.
NOTE: please contact FarmQA Support to enable an AgVise integration for your account. There is no additional cost associated with this integration.
Setting up your AgVise lab integration
Finding your AgVise API Key
Use this link to log into your AgVise Laboratories account: Agvise - Login
Once you're logged in, follow these steps to locate your API Key (pictured below):
- Click on the Settings button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
- Click the API Settings button at the bottom of the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Copy the API Key located at the center of the API Settings page.
Setting up your AgVise lab integration
Available from the: WEB APP
Permissions: ENTERPRISE ADMIN
- Click on the Soils
icon, then click on the Labs tab.
- Click on the
Add new lab button at the top of the screen, then select the Agvise option (pictured below).

Add in the following information in the Add Agvise page (pictured below):
- Give your lab a Name.
- Copy and paste in your API Key.
- Use the Analysis package menu to add any analysis packages you'd like to run your samples on by AgVise.
- Toggle on the Generate soil nutrient maps when importing lab data switch to have FarmQA automatically create soil nutrient maps based on the data being imported from AgVise.
- Toggle on the Use management zone to generate soil nutrient map switch to use pre-existing management zones to generate the nutrient maps created when AgVise data is brought in.
- Toggle on the Submit to lab when saving sample tasks switch to automatically submit your samples to AgVise when you create, edit, or save any of your soil sampling tasks that are associated with this lab.
- Click the Save button to complete adding your AgVise lab.
