Edit management zones

Fix a zone map without rebuilding it. You can reassign part of the field to a different zone, lay a grid over the field, or split zones with an image or a shape you draw. This is useful when a zone crosses a waterway, a pivot corner needs its own rate, or you want the applicator working in even blocks.

Open the zone for editing

1. On the Home page, select the field.
2. In the field panel, open Layers, then open Management zones.
3. Select the arrow beside the zone map you want to change, then select Edit.

The editing tools appear in the Edit zone bar at the top of the screen.

Reassign part of the field to another zone

1. Select Change zone.
2. In Zone, choose the zone you want to assign.
3. Select each area on the map that should become that zone.

Lay a grid over the field

1. Select Grid alignment.
2. Enter the grid width in X and the height in Y, in feet or meters.
3. Select OK.

Split zones

Select Split, then choose a tool:

• Grid — the same as Grid alignment above.
• Image — split your zones along another zone map. For example, overlay a map that divides the field in half to split every zone at that line.
• Shapes — draw where the new zone goes:
  • Add polygon — draw a shape around the area.
  • Add circle — draw a circle around the area.
  • Add line — draw a line that sections off an area and assign it new values.

Save your changes

Select OK on the right side of the Edit zone bar.

To change zone names, colors, or break values instead of shapes, open the zone in Zone Designer and use the options in Create a management zone.
