Growing Degree Day (GDD) Data in FarmQA

Overview

Growing Degree Day (GDD) data is available per field within FarmQA and is based on plant date. This can be viewed within FarmQA Controller and also on PDF scouting reports.  See instructions below for more information.

Field level GDD data

• Open FarmQA Controller and login
• Click on any field from the map tab with the current growing season selected
• Next check that a plant date is set for that field, and scroll to the bottom of the field detail pane 
• Under the "Weather history" section you will see a GDD value displayed (see below)

Scouting report GDD data

• Open FarmQA Controller and login
• Click on the "Scouting" tab->Select any scouting report
• Notice GDD data is automatically displayed in the weather data in the right-hand column and is based on the plant date. (see below)
• The same weather data will also be displayed on the exported PDF (see below)
  • ** Note- the plant date needs to be set for GDD data to display here
